The SAYAW series is a celebration of the Philippines’ vibrant cultural heritage, brought to life through the graceful movements of four beloved folk dances: Singkil, Maglalatik, Tinikling and Carinosa. Each dance tells a story – Singkil captivates with its regal elegance and dramatic fan work.
Maglalatik echoes the rhythm of mock battle, performed with coconut shells in a lively display of coordination. Carinosa enchants with its soft, flirtatious steps and Tinikling, one of the most iconic Philippine dances, showcases harmony as dancers step between bamboo poles in time with traditional music.
Through the art of Kora Dandan Albano, the Sayaw series captures the movement, meaning, and spirit of these timeless dances – an homeage to Filipino tradition, identity and culture.
