The Bahay Kubo or Nipa hut is a type of stilt house which is indigenous to the Philippines and most often serves as an icon of our culture. Mostly found in lowlands all over the Philippines, its walls and flooring is usually made of bamboo and green materials like nipa leaves are used for the roof.
