SINGKIL is a royal dance of grace, strength, and storytelling. Traditionally performed by women adorned in regal attire, the dance tells the tale of a princess gracefully navigating through falling obstacles – symbolized by crisscrossing bamboo poles – while maintaining poise and elegance. Often accompanied by a male warrior and fan-bearing attendants, Singkil is a striking display of coordination and cultural richness. It reflects the nobility, resilience, and artistry of Mindanao’s heritage.
A tribute to Mindanao’s royal legacy and the timeless beauty of Filipino dance.
TINIKLING is one of the Philippines’ most iconic and beloved folk dances, originating from the rice fields of Leyte. Named after the tikling bird, the dance mimics its swift, graceful movements as it weaves through the bamboo traps sets by farmers.
Performed by dancers skillfully stepping between and over moving bamboo poles, Tinikling is a lively display of rhythm, agility and coordination. It embodies the spirit of resilience, harmony and joy deeply rooted in Filipino culture.
A celebration of heritage in every step.
