Pakudos is a visual motif or design element used by the Hanunuo Mangyan is characterized by its simple, symmetrical and aesthetic use of lines and space that are pleasing to the eyes. It is usually incorporated into the design not just of clothing, but accessories and blankets of the people of Mindoro as well. Pakudos are believed to offer protection by warding off evil spirits.
