A fabric pattern featuring the Ikat design. Ikat fabrics, usually made from abaca, are made by dying the threads before he fabric is woven. These threads are tied tightly together and dipped in dye and creates an uneven and mottled appearance on the threads and gives them a hazy look when the fabric is woven. The Mandaya people of Davao Oriental Philippines are known for their masterful Ikat weaving techniques.
